The Elegance of Cairnwood Estate Weddings

Our Elegant Events Wedding Planning and Design team recently had the pleasure of working at the magnificent Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn. We think Cairnwood Estate weddings are truly spectacular!

This beautiful Beaux-Arts-style mansion, built in 1895, combines classical Greek and Roman architecture elements with French Renaissance details. Built for the Pitcairn family, they have hosted fantastic weddings on their property for more than a century.

Weddings at Cairnwood Estate

The property is absolutely majestic and offers some incredible amenities for couples hosting their wedding at the estate.

There is plenty of free parking onsite, including accessible parking and amenities.

The property includes nearly 26,000 square feet of space for entertaining, including the Fountain Garden, covered Veranda, and a 100-foot-long terrace. The Terrace can be tented with either clear or white tenting, which is included in their rental packages during July and August.

Elegant Indoor Spaces

The Dressing Rooms are tastefully decorated, and how clever is the hook for displaying wedding gowns for photos?

The air-conditioned indoor spaces include the Grand Hall with its beautiful fireplace.

The Library, perfect for hosting cocktail hour. Wedding guests can also enjoy outdoor spaces like the covered Veranda and Fountain Garden.

The Music Room, Dining Room, and Billiards Room were used for incredible stationary hors d’oeuvre stations, prepared by the fantastic team at Feastivities Catered Events. One of three of the estates Preferred Caterers.

The Raw Bar and Noodle House Stations were complimented by a Flatbread Station and an assortment of twelve passed bites.

Dining on the South Terrace

The Terrace is the ideal location for dinner. It offers sweeping views of the property and works well with any color story. The white, gold, and red color palette of this recent wedding were simple yet elegant.

The indoor spaces displayed a buffet dinner reception which included delicious Filet of Beef, Grilled Breast of Chicken with Lemon Leek Sauce and Grilled Honey, Soy and Dill Salmon paired with side dishes and French Dinner Rolls.
