Our Elegant Events Planning & Design team recently had the pleasure of working with Bethiel & Tecumseh on their Franklin’s View wedding. Their beautiful wedding took place in historic Franklin Square in Old City, part of the Independence National Historic Park.
However, their story begins in Center City, steps away from City Hall. The couple spent the morning at their hotels, getting ready and enjoying time with their wedding parties.
Stopping Traffic on South Broad Street
Once Tecumseh was dressed, he headed down to South Broad Street, crossing traffic and waiting anxiously for his first look at his beautiful bride-to-be.
Wearing a beautiful modern lace wedding gown, Bethiel made her way across traffic to her groom.
After a few fantastic photos in the middle of this iconic Philadelphia street, the couple made their way across to the steps of the Academy of Music for some fun photos together.
Historic Franklin Square
Bethiel and Tecumseh joined their wedding party following their Center City photos together. For more fun and unique photos, the group made their way to Old City and the Parx Liberty Carousel.
Franklin Square, one of the five original squares in Philadelphia’s city plan designed by William Penn, was the location for the couple’s elegant outdoor wedding venue.
They Said I Do!
Cescaphe-Franklin’s View is a beautiful rustic, garden-chic setting under a clear top tent and the perfect location for the couple’s elegant wedding.
Wedding guests were treated to a glass of champagne as they gathered for the beautiful wedding ceremony.
Bethiel, escorted by her brother, made her way down the aisle to her groom, to ‘Halo’ by Beyoncé. The two then exchanged wedding vows and rings under a candlelit chandelier and a canopy of trees.
Dinner and Dancing Under The Stars
The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed the traditional Cescaphe ‘Cocktail Hour and A Half’ filled with individual hors d’oeuvres, chef-attended action stations, a full bar, and their Signature Cocktail – Mint To Be Mojito. Meanwhile, the space was transformed for a night of dinner and dancing.
Under the clear tent, elegant fabric drapes, twinkling market lights, and beautifully dressed tables filled the space. Tables filled with tall centerpieces in gold-toned vases alternated with tables topped with chunky pillar candles on gold candlesticks. Beautiful gold charger plates and seafoam green napkins popped against crisp white linens.
And, the incredible four-tier nearly naked wedding cake filled with cannoli filling was the perfect choice for the rustic elegance of the wedding venue.
The couple made their grand entrance with a nod to the bride’s Ethiopian and Eritrean cultural background. Following their wedding party, they entered to an Eritrean song, ‘Lega Shibo’ by Hani Mihreteab, under an arch of flowers held by wedding guests. Encircled by wedding guests, it was time to get the party started.
The newlyweds remained on the dance floor for their first dance, leading into an evening of toasts, a delicious multicourse dinner, and lots and lots of dancing!
Congratulations, Bethiel and Tecumseh. We wish you a lifetime of traffic-stopping moments!
