Our Elegant Events Planning and Design team love working with couples to create unique, one-of-a-kind, diverse, multicultural weddings. But Nicole and Danielle’s wedding was next level!
This fabulous blending of South Asian tradition and country chic décor completely reflected this incredible couple as individuals, their life together, and their amazing families.
Fabulous Friday
For the couple and their families, the wedding weekend began Friday night with a rehearsal, a delicious rehearsal dinner with pizza and Mediterranean food, a live band, and some fantastic henna applications.
However, for Nicole’s aunt, the wedding began much earlier, designing much of her attire with design consultations from India via Zoom, usually at midnight.
We LOVE First Looks
The morning started with hair and makeup for all of the ladies, getting ready and an incredible first look.
Danielle waited anxiously, knowing her bride-to-be would soon walk up behind her. As Nicole arrived, there was a comment about a Christmas tree.
But, you’ll have to check out their feature in Philadelphia Wedding to see how that conversation went – and there are many more fantastic wedding photos!
Making An Entrance
Following their first look and some family photos, the brides-to-be prepared for the beautiful wedding ceremony.
Danielle made her grand entrance with a traditional baraat, riding in on a majestically adorned white horse led by family and friends. Little did she know that Nicole was off in the distance sneaking a peek.
For her entrance, Nicole was carried in on a golden chair. From her vantage point, she could see everyone gathered. And you could tell how excited she was by the look on her face as her parents escorted her down the aisle to Danielle.
A Country Chic Mandap
The wedding ceremony was held under a beautifully decorated structure. A floral chandelier and soft white fabric hung above the area where guests were to be seated. A smaller structure at the far end of the aisle created an elegant mandap for the traditional wedding ceremony. The space was draped in brilliant teal fabric with fresh flower swags, with a golden table and chairs below.
Wedding programs in the same teal and gold colors shared detailed information about the ceremony with wedding guests.
The wedding ceremony, officiated by Nicole’s aunt, was beautiful and touching. One very special touch was their engagement and wedding rings, created by a close family friend.
Cocktails, Hors d’ oeuvres and Photos
Following the beautiful wedding ceremony, the brides took time for some photos together. At the same time, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour overflowing with passed hors d’oeuvres, and several chef attended stations of delicious South Asian foods.
A Little Bit Country-Chic
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the finishing touches were made to the incredible country-chic wedding reception. The reception tent was filled with long wooden farmhouse tables surrounded by wooden French country chairs. Each table was set with an eclectic mix of plants in unique containers, soft fabric table runners, and a unique blend of modern and vintage glassware, china, and flatware.
After their introduction, the newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance to Perfect by Ed Sheeran, followed by several speeches by family and friends.
The dinner stations for the reception included:
Vegetable Pulao
Murgh Tikka Masala
Gosht Kadai
Palak Paneer
Vegetable Jhalfrezi
Baldi Dal
Naan, Lachcha, and Paratha
Tomato, Onion, and Cucumber Raita
A Salad Bar and A Dessert Station
The evening continued with two very special parent dances, plenty of dancing, and the newlyweds cutting this show-stopping wedding cake. The modern five-tier white wedding cake was decorated with several colorful mandalas and spectacular rainbow-colored layers!
Congratulations, Danielle and Nicole! Our Elegant Events team is over the moon and excited to have been part of this incredible wedding weekend.
